They say the Supreme Court follows the election returns. Now they have ruled that the rich can go right ahead and buy the election returns they want. And then the Court can follow them! A virtuous cycle!
You may say that No One Could Have Foreseen. But it was plenty foreseen. Predictable. Predicted. Happening. You can say the Court had its hands tied, just following the law, you know! Or you could say they were appointed to the Court because they had made it their business to signal plainly how they would rule on this stuff, and were appointed to the Court precisely because of this signalling, and their hands were tied by their own hands, and it worked out pretty well for them, if not for you, didn’t it? Another good investment!
